What is it for?

Dynamiclear is a product designed to reduce the duration of a cold sore or herpes outbreak and reports to be able to provide fast relief for the pain and burning associated with an attack. It should be used when there are visible signs of infection on the surface of the skin. This is the case because the product must come into contact with the viruses at the skin to be effective. When there is no visible skin markings there are no viruses on the skin. As such it is a symptom relief medication designed to treat outbreaks, not a preventative.

Dynamiclear can be used early in the outbreak when the blisters first develop and the applicator should be held on the skin for up to 30 seconds to allow the product to pass into the skin.  The manufacturer recommends that to get best results, apply the product when the blisters are at their “peak” stage as the virus is most exposed at that point.

It should not be used on people under the age of 2, and when using on people under 12 a test application should be performed as described in the information enclosed with the product. Its safety has not been evaluated in pregnancy however it is thought that there is only a small risk for those who are allergic to copper. Can Dynamiclear be used for Herpes outbreaks as well as Cold Sores?

Dynamiclear is effective against both Herpes Simplex Virus types 1 and 2. The Dynamiclear Advantage product should be used for outbreaks on the body, and the Dynamiclear Cold Sore Gel should be used for cold sores on the face as this is a gentler formulation for delicate face skin. Neither product should be used on the eyes. Herpes outbreaks on the eyes require immediate medical attention to prevent permanent damage to the eye.

 

How does it work?

There are three main ingredients. The first is Cupric sulphate pentahydrate. This substance is a form of copper that stops the virus reproducing. The second is Hypericum perforatum, otherwise known as St john’s Wort. St John’s Wort has been shown to be active against viruses and helps reduce how often the outbreaks occur and how severe they are.

The final main ingredient is Calendula officinalis. This herb helps skin healing, is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

Other ingredients include Vegetable Derived Glycerol, Aloe vera barbadensis, Naturally Sourced Vitamin E, and Purified Water. The manufacturer reports that the product is free from Alcohol, Animal Products, Parabens and Artificial Preservatives.

 

How do I apply Dynamiclear?

The product comes with an applicator which used used to apply it. According to the manufacturer only one application is required unlike most other products which require repeated applications.  They actually recommend that the product not be applied for a second time for 72 hours after the initial application, as repeated application within that time can actually slow healing due to skin irritation.

 

Research Results.

A clinical trial published in the peer reviewed journal* the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology[1] showed that better results in terms of speed of healing and reduced pain were achieved with Dynamiclear after one application than with repeated applications of Acyclovir, the standard drug used to treat herpes outbreaks. The conclusion of the study was:

Another study found that the main ingredient (the cupric sulphate pentahydrate) reduced the number of viruses by 90% in 30 minutes in test tube situation.[2] While this is impressive it does not mean this would necessarily be the case in the body.

I did notice it took the sore straight to scab stage which is fantastic. The problem is the scab is like blue/green colored but its not too big. Overall I am very happy with buying Dynamiclear!!! I did a lot of research on the internet and saw the information on the Dynamiclear. It kept getting such good reports that It sounded a bit too good to be true plus since it was out of pocket and I have very little money it seemed very expensive to me in my circumstances. But I was so frantic by that point that I took a chance and ordered some.

Am I ever glad I did : ) The darned stuff actually worked as well as claimed. It cleared my huge upper thigh outbreak almost immediately as opposed to the two to three weeks it usually took to clear up. But to make it even better it actually dramatically decreased the number of future outbreaks I had on the areas I treated. I have gone from almost constant outbreaks to very rare ones. I still haven’t used up my bottle and I’ve had it for quite some time now.
